Why do car prices rise in Saudi Arabia compared to the Gulf markets? .. An expert explains

Ahmed Al-Harbi, an expert in the field of cars, said that there are car prices in the Kingdom that may exceed the same cars in the rest of the Gulf countries, pointing out that one of the reasons for this is the operational cost, and this is not a justification for car companies.

Al-Harbi added, during an intervention on the “Ya Hala” program, on the “Rotana Gulf” channel, that some agents in Saudi Arabia avoid this by spreading in one region, noting that the operational cost of a car dealership with branches throughout the Kingdom is much greater than another country. Depends on one or two branches at most.

The expert interested in the field of cars explained that the second reason is the high fees such as taxes, in addition to the high volume of demand, which plays a major role in the rise in prices.

At the end of his speech, Al-Harbi sent a message to lovers of acquiring the latest car models, saying: “We sometimes see new models that were put on the market and sold at double their global price, because of some people’s love for excellence in being the first to ride this type of car, and this has a very big role in raising cars prices”.
