“We will strive for our present and our future, inspired by the sacrifices of our fathers and grandfathers, for the sake of the elevation of the nation and its people.”
This was the text of the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, on the Twitter platform, on the occasion of the huge Saudi celebrations of the national holidays for the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the 91st anniversary.
If we go back a bit, we find that the appointment of the 23rd of September of each month to be a day to celebrate the National Day, or the National Day as others see it, was by order of the late King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, as stated in a text published in Umm Al-Qura newspaper, the official gazette of the state in 1965, and from the explanation of the news that this celebration is to define: “A national day in which its sons celebrate and brag about their achievements… and they remember the glories of the heroisms that were made to unite the parts of this country.”
This is if we make the celebration No. 91 on the occasion of the official founding of the state in its modern name: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932, but the reality is that the journey of establishing the great Saudi entity, with the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal bin Turki Al Saud, preceded this date far, since He regained the capital of the second Saudi state, Riyadh in 1902, nearly thirty years before the declaration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
And if we want to go back more to history, we can go back, before the announcement of 1932, two centuries ago, with the start of the great establishment with the first Saudi state, which reached the height of its glory and expansion during the reign of the third ruler of the first state, Imam Saud bin Abdul Aziz the Great, or Saud the Great as described in the sources. Western, who died in 1814 AD.
The historical pillar of the Saudi state is very important, and it must be evoked in multiple images, in a variety of artistic forms, as in educational content and, in the end, a general cultural “discourse” under which many products fall and sets for itself abundant targets.
One of the most important meanings that should be emphasized on this occasion is the virtuous reference that King Salman made in his royal tweet about evoking the sacrifices of previous Saudi generations in building the nation.
Yes, all the people of the Saudi land have an abundant share in watering the Great Dream until it ripened and leveled its market, from the canyons of Najran, the tops of the Sarawat, the Tihama plains and the sands of the Empty Quarter, passing through the plains of Makkah, the coasts of Rawashin Jeddah, the green songs of Taif, the western Najd, Qalb Al-Arid, the oases of Al-Kharj, Al-Houta, Al-Hariq and Wadi Al-Dawasir for the eyes of Al-Ahsa, the beaches of Dammam, the palm trees of Qatif, the North Muffali, the “Khaboub” of Al-Qassim, the mountains of Ha’il Al-Shama’, the Al-Jawf oases of Tabuk, Al-Wajh, Dhaba, Yanbu, Al-Ula and Medina.
All the people of all stripes are the generations that built their sleeves under the leadership of the dream man Abdul Aziz… the builder.
The glorious Saudi diversity is one of the secrets of its strength in the past, and in the present it is one of the most important advantages of Saudi Arabia, which charted its future path open to all the world, the weaver of the dream, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
