Paris Saint-Germain snatched a difficult victory over its guest Lyon 2-1 on Sunday in the sixth round of the French Football League.

The match witnessed the first major participation of the Argentine star Lionel Messi with Saint Germain at the Parc des Princes, as well as his first match as a starter in the French League.

Lyon advanced with a goal scored by Lucas Paqueta in the 54th minute, and Paris Saint-Germain tied with a goal scored by Neymar from a penalty kick in the 66th minute.

Ashraf Hakimi participated as a substitute for Messi in the 76th minute, after several unsuccessful attempts on the Lyon goal, the most dangerous of which was a direct free shot that was blocked by the left “scissors” of the goal.

The substitute (participated in the 82nd minute) saved Mauro Icadre Saint-Germain from the trap of equalizing by scoring the second goal in the third minute of overtime for the match.

Saint-Germain raised its score to 18 points at the top of the standings, while Lyon’s balance stopped at 8 points in ninth place.
