Saudi Arabia will host the “World Club Handball Cup” next October

The Saudi Ministry of Sports announced that the Kingdom will host the World Club Handball Championship “Super Globe 2021” for the second time in a row, in Jeddah, during the period from 5 to 9 October (October) next, and in coordination with the Saudi Handball Federation, where the establishment of this tournament comes within the quality of life programme.
10 clubs from different countries of the world will participate in the tournament, which will be hosted by the King Abdullah Sports City, led by the representatives of the Kingdom, the “host country” teams, Al-Nour and Al-Wehda, as well as the Qatari Al-Duhail clubs, “Asian champions”, Danish Aalborg “European champions”, and the University of Australia’s Sydney “champion of Oceania”, Cal Heat San Francisco, champion of North America and the Caribbean, Brazil’s Pineros, champion of South and Central America, Zamalek of Egypt, champion of Africa, Barcelona of Spain, champion of the previous edition, in addition to the German team Magdeburg, who will participate at the invitation of the International Handball Federation.
For his part, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, said: “We are happy once again to host the major championships at the club level for handball, and with the participation of the continental champions for the second time in a row, which is an extension of the championships and events hosted by our dear country with the direct support of our leadership. wise, and the keenness and follow-up of the Crown Prince towards achieving the goals of (the Kingdom’s Vision 2030).”
Al-Faisal added: “All the best we wish to our representatives, Al-Nour and Al-Wahda teams, in this tournament, and welcome to all the participating teams in their second country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It is noteworthy that the city of Dammam hosted the previous edition in 2019, after the Kingdom won the hosting rights for four editions in a row.
