Bin Kalut explained, during his hosting on the program “Min Saudi Arabia” broadcast on “Saudi Arabia”, that a British orientalist named “Bertram Thomas” expressed a desire to explore the Empty Quarter, and accordingly, he contacted his grandfather, “Saleh bin Kalut” to arrange the trip. and accompanying the orientalist.

He pointed out that the trip started in the winter season, and was documented by video and photos.

He indicated that the trip was arranged at the British Embassy in Muscat, pointing out that he re-embodied the journey of his ancestors in all its details in 2015, after a son of the Sultanate of Oman contacted him, “Mohammed”.

He pointed out that he set off with 3 other people from the Empty Quarter to Doha on a journey that lasted for 49 days, the most difficult of which was in the Empty Quarter because of the rugged roads, in addition to that one of his colleagues on the trip felt tired, so they had to delay their journey for one day until his condition improved.
