In a circular addressed to the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, the authority indicated to stop the release of vehicles coming from companies that did not submit the supply plan according to the standard specification of the Saudi fuel economy standard for new light vehicles, calling on the Ministry of Commerce to inform all car agents, importers and those concerned to take the necessary measures regarding stopping the import temporary.

The authority warned all car dealerships, importers and stakeholders that this temporary ban applies to new light vehicles whose weight does not exceed 305 tons, noting that the list is constantly updated according to the manufacturers’ response.
