New computer mouse made from ocean debris

The CEO of the American software and electronics giant Microsoft, Satya Nadella, pledged that the company’s activities will be carbon-neutral and water-friendly by 2030, with sustainable changes in the various materials used in the manufacture of devices and packaging of the company’s products. Microsoft has unveiled a new computer mouse that relies 20 percent on plastic waste collected from the oceans and recycled, and on 100 percent recyclable packaging. “If you are serious about innovation, you must also be serious about ensuring innovation reaches everyone, and serious about maintaining the sustainability of our planet’s limited resources,” Nadella added during the company’s celebration of the launch of the new generation of the Surface Pro 8 tablet computer.
