The organizers of the “Murex d’Or” Festival have finally succeeded in holding the ceremony in Beirut on Friday evening.
This came after he was veiled last year due to the Corona pandemic, and was postponed out of respect for the victims of the tragic explosion that occurred in the port of Beirut last August.
The Murex d’Or festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, honored many art stars in Lebanon and the Arab world. Among the most prominent names honored were Qusai Khouli, Dima Kandalaft, Moatasem Al-Nahar, Nadine Nassib Njeim, Maggie Bogson, Basem Mughniyeh, and Daniela Rahma. George Khabar, Ahmed El-Zein, Assi El-Hellani, Ziad Bourji, Jad Choueiri, directors Philip Asmar and Bassem Christo, producers: Sadiq Al-Sabah and Jamal Sinan from Lebanon, artist Nadia El-Gendy and media figure Bossi Shalaby from Egypt.
The “Murex d’Or” party witnessed many scenes that topped social networking sites, the most important of which was the dance of the duo Nadine Nassib Njeim and the Syrian actor Qusai Khouli to the tunes of the song “Betkhalil al-Hadith” by Lebanese artist Ziad Burji, which is the sequence of their latest series “2020”.
Qusai Khouli appeared during the ceremony with the character that he embodies with his new drama, with long brown hair, a large mustache, and glasses.
The Iraqi artist Rahma Riad also fell on the red carpet, because she fainted, and was helped by the Lebanese Red Cross, who was in the place, to enter the festival hall later, accompanied by her husband, the Iraqi artist Alexander Aloum, to take the stage and receive her award.
The atmosphere of the ceremony was characterized by a national character, as a group of songs were presented, such as “Say you are Lebanese” and “Allo Beirut”.
And the Egyptian media, Bossi Shalaby, transmitted, through her account on the Instagram application, scenes from the atmosphere of the concert, where a large number of stars such as Nadia El-Gendy appeared dancing to the tunes of the songs of the Lebanese artist Wael Kfoury.
