Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp praised the performance of his Senegalese striker, Sadio Mane, after he scored his 100th goal in his career with the English team.
The German coach said, “People do not remember that when Mane scored 100 goals, he made a great effort in playing and in defense, attacking and creating opportunities for his teammates. 100 goals is only a number, there are other important numbers, but I am happy for him to reach this number today.”
“It is a great achievement. He is one of the 18 players in this great club who have achieved this number. It means a lot.”
Mane opened the scoring for the Reds in their match against Crystal Palace (3-0), which took place between them today, Saturday, at “Anfield”, in the fifth round of the English Premier League.
Sadio Mane scored the ninth goal against Crystal Palace, becoming the first player in the history of the Premier League to score in 9 consecutive matches against the same team.
