Dietitian Dr. Vicki Petersen said that the presence of a certain amount of fat in the liver is normal, but the risk begins when fat makes up more than 5-10% of the weight of the liver. According to “Sputnik”.
She explained that the increase in fat leads to the emergence of unknown warning symptoms, such as:
1- Fluid retention that appears in the form of swelling under the eyes, ankle, or swollen fingers. When toxins accumulate, the body deals with them intelligently and works to mitigate the effects of toxins by increasing water in the body.
2- Increase in skin diseases as the body tries to get rid of excess toxins through the skin. This results in unhealthy skin diseases including rashes, eczema, and acne.
3- Chemical sensitivity or the so-called alcohol poisoning is one of the warning symptoms of fatty liver, where patients suddenly stop tolerating alcohol, and they become more sensitive to the chemicals in the environment around them.
4. Dr. Petersen notes that when fat builds up in the liver in excess, toxins build up in the bloodstream, leading to mental confusion and impaired consciousness.
