Things that don’t happen often.
Karim Adeyemi managed to attract attention on his first appearance in the Champions League, when he played a perfect match against Seville with his team Salzburg, which ended in a 1-1 draw at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.
The promising German striker managed to win three penalty kicks for Salzburg, taking advantage of his record speed, although he missed one and his team managed to score another and miss the third.
What distinguishes the 18-year-old is his exceptional speed that made him the star of the net in the Austrian club after the departure of Erling Haaland last year to Borussia Dortmund, and now he is the next talent in Europe undisputedly.
Adeymi played with Bayern Munich in the junior teams for two years between 2009 and 2011, then moved to Unterhaching and from there he arrived in Salzburg. The player did not deny his dream of returning to Allianz Arena.
Speaking to the press, Adeyemi said in this regard and in response to what was said that the reason for his departure from Bayern Munich was lack of discipline, “the parents of my colleagues were jealous of me.”
He added, “If Bayern Munich made me an offer, I think I would choose that path. I want to show them what I can do and that it was a mistake for me to leave when I was young, that really motivates me.”
At the same time, Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund revealed that his club rejected an offer from Barcelona to sign Ademi last year, and Barca was not the only one interested.
Freund said, “We are aware of his extraordinary talent, as evidenced by the offers that have come to us for him from Barcelona and other big clubs.”
Barca’s offer is said to have reached 15 million euros, but in the end Salzburg managed to renew the young player’s contract until the summer of 2024.
Adeyemi made his international debut for Germany in the last international break against Armenia, where he scored a goal during the big win for Mannschaft with six clean goals.
It is worth noting that Adeymi this season with Salzburg, played 11 matches at various levels, during which he scored 7 goals.
