Falling gas prices in the European market


The prices of natural gas futures contracts in Europe declined during today’s trading, in light of the tendency of traders to take profits from the previous price hikes and the expectation of an increase in the flow of gas

Bloomberg indicated that two LNG tankers are currently sailing towards Britain, although there is no confirmation of this from the British Ports Authority.
The benchmark natural gas futures contract for the European market in the Netherlands fell today by 2% to 73.78 euros per megawatt-hour, after rising in early trading and rising yesterday by 16% to 75.33 euros per megawatt-hour. The price fell in London trading by 1.9 percent to 186.10 pence per million thermal units, after rising by 16 percent yesterday to 188.10 pence per million thermal units.
