Kuala Lumpur, September 17 / WAM / The draw for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League took the Saudi club Al Hilal, the champion of the 2019 edition, against Persepolis, the Iranian runner-up last year.
In the second confrontation in the quarter-finals of the Western Region, the UAE club Al-Wahda will also meet with the Saudi Al-Nasr.
The quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Western Region will be held in Saudi Arabia on October 16 and 17, while the competitions for these two rounds of the Eastern Region will be held in South Korea. The final match will be held in Saudi Arabia on November 23.
The draw was held openly today at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, via video-conferencing technology, after the participating clubs were distributed into two bowls, one for the west region, and the second for the east region.
In the East Asia region, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of South Korea will meet with compatriot Ulsan Hyundai, while Pohang Steelers of South Korea will face Nagoya Grampus of Japan.
