The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai (Dubai Tourism) stressed the importance of the role played by international partners in the hospitality sector, and their active contribution to accelerating the recovery of the tourism sector in the emirate, while Dubai strengthens its strategic partnerships in local and international markets to prepare for the post-pandemic phase. Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, praised, during his recent meeting with Marriott International officials in Dubai, the support provided by this leading brand in the hospitality sector and its efforts to show Dubai as a safe and preferred destination to visit, which contributes to enhancing confidence among international travelers. Where Kazem stressed the contributions made by partners and stakeholders such as Marriott International in order to achieve stability in the sector, and reviewed before them the performance levels of the sector during the past seven months of this year, noting the growth in the number of international visitors to reach about 3 million visitors, as well as the high occupancy rate For hotel establishments, Dubai ranks second in the world after London and Paris in terms of hotel occupancy, at an average rate of 61 percent, during the period from January to July of this year.
