(MENAFNYoum7) The latest beta version of macOS Monterey contains clues about the accuracy of Apple’s rumored 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro, according to MacRumors.

The seventh beta of the upcoming operating system contains references to “3456 x 2234 Retina” and “3024 x 1964 Retina,” two resolutions that are not supported by any of Apple’s current Mac computers.

MacRumors assumes that the two new resolutions are compatible with Apple’s 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro, which is widely expected to launch this year with new designs and a new Apple arm-based processor called the M1X, according to The Verege.

The current 16-inch MacBook Pro has a resolution of 3072 x 1920, while the 13-inch MacBook Pro has a resolution of 2560 x 1600. If the new resolution is accurate, both laptops should see an increase in pixel density and screen resolution.

In addition to the improved screen resolution, both portable devices are rumored to include a MagSafe magnetic laptop charger and return useful ports such as an SD card slot and HDMI.

As the widely disliked OLED Touch Bar is reportedly on its way out, the new laptops are expected to be announced at Apple’s event this year, although the exact date has yet to be announced.
