Zoo officials in Washington revealed that “6 lions and 3 tigers were infected with the Corona virus.”

And the park indicated in a statement, that “the guards noticed, at the end of last week, a decrease in appetite, coughing, sneezing and lethargy in 6 African lions, a Sumatran tiger and two Siberian tigers, and after conducting initial tests, they were confirmed to be infected with the Covid 19 virus.”

“The affected animals are currently being treated with anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-nausea drugs and antibiotics to prevent pneumonia,” she added.

Park officials confirmed, “The public is not in danger, given the large distance between the whereabouts of lions, tigers and visitors, and no signs of infection with the virus appeared on other animals.”
