The artist, Mounira Ben Arfa, is one of the personalities that combines the art of acting and radio work, and who contributed to the establishment of the Acting Troupe on Tunisian Radio, and completed a number of immortal artworks in the memory of Tunisians.

The late artist, Mounira Ben Arfa, was born on May 24, 1935, in the city of Bab Souika in the capital, Tunis.

In 1961, Mounira Ben Arfa left the education field and joined the Tunisian radio, and replaced one of the broadcasters by presenting the famous local program “A Song for Every Listener” without the listeners being aware of that, because the voices matched between them.

She also worked with the late poet Munawwar Samadh, and presented the Screen Songs program, before entering the world of the small screen, by acting in a television series, shown on Tunisian state television, entitled “My dear grandmother.”

Mounira Ben Arfa was among the radio faces who contributed to the establishment of the acting troupe on the Tunisian radio, and participated in many radio artworks, including the “The Gift of Eid” series, the series “The Caravan Goes” and “Between the Tent and the Eye” and the radio series. She also participated in acting in the play “Shakoun Overcome the Women” (Who Defeats the Women?), which was performed by the Popular Theater Troupe, founded by the Tunisian storyteller, Abdel Aziz Laroui.
