Egyptian Minister: We were able to provide medicines to treat the Corona virus, dedicated to critical cases


Cairo – Mubasher: The Minister of Health and Population, Hala Zayed, said that the state was able to provide medicines to treat the emerging corona virus, and they will be dedicated to critical cases.

In a press statement today, the minister confirmed that the cure rate for these drugs is very high, as they were used in the United States of America during the last period.

The Minister of Health called on all employees of the state’s administrative apparatus in all its categories and university students to expedite the vaccination, during the current and next two months, according to the Middle East News Agency.

She added that 100% of the vaccines circulating in Egypt, including (Sinopharma and Sinovac) are internationally approved and approved vaccines by the World Health Organization, but the fact that some countries prefer some vaccines over others, these are special policies from one country to another, stressing that the main thing for the state is safety The vaccine is approved by the World Health Organization.

She pointed out the need for the citizen to be proud of the state; Because we were able to produce (Sinovac Vaccera) vaccines that are 100% similar to Chinese (Sinopharm), revealing that a delegation from the African Union and the African Bank visited Egypt to invite the government to manufacture vaccines in the (Vaccera) factory on October 6 for the whole of Africa.

She explained that the number of vaccination centers will be increased to more than 800 fixed centers by the end of this month, in addition to 6 other large centers to vaccinate 20,000 people per day, other than travel centres. We also have thousands of mobile vaccination teams that move to places of industrial gatherings, banks and government departments and tourism.

The Minister said that the (AstraZeneca) vaccine, and based on a report from the World Health Organization, it became possible to receive the second dose, starting from 4 weeks to 12 weeks after receiving the first dose.

With regard to the age group of those receiving the vaccine, the minister added that we are following the recommendations of the World Health Organization, that priority should be from the age of 18 years and above, in addition to young people traveling abroad for the purpose of education and under 18 years of age will receive the vaccine.

She indicated that there is a tendency to vaccinate young people in secondary and technical schools as a second step, based on the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, to increase vaccinations in schools to reduce absenteeism rates, adding that the state’s plan to vaccinate students in pre-university education will be announced soon.

The minister called for directing citizens to quickly receive the vaccine, especially the target groups.
