US State Department condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia

On Monday, the US State Department condemned, in a statement, the attacks of the Yemeni Houthi group on Saudi Arabia, after a period of calm during Eid al-Adha.

In a statement posted on Twitter, the US State Department’s Office of Near Eastern Affairs said, “The Houthis must stop their destabilizing actions and commit to an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire to help end the Yemeni war.”

The statement added: “It is time to return to negotiations and end the conflict.”

The Yemeni army defeats the Houthis from several locations in Marib

On the field developments in Yemen, the Yemeni army forces are engaged in continuous battles against the Iranian-backed Houthi militias in the Yarref region, northwest of Ma’rib Governorate, for the second day in a row.

The media center of the Yemeni army stated that the army forces managed, on Monday, to defeat the Houthi militia from several locations in the region, after fierce battles that inflicted heavy losses on the militia in life and equipment.

The center added that the army arrested a group of militia members, and recovered various weapons and ammunition.

On Sunday, the National Army forces inflicted heavy human and material losses on the Houthi militia on the same front, and were able to capture Houthi elements and recover a kit with its equipment, in addition to various weapons and ammunition.
