On Saturday, the UAE sent a plane to Rwanda carrying 9 tons of medical supplies and examination devices, to support it in confronting the Corona virus.

UAE Ambassador to Rwanda Hazza Al Qahtani said that relations between his country and Rwanda “are witnessing a growing development in many economic, investment and trade sectors, for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, and this is an embodiment of the close relations that extend between them for more than four decades.”

He added: “Rwanda is one of the first countries to benefit from the UAE medical aid to confront the Covid-19 pandemic, as a plane was sent during the months of June 2020 carrying four tons of medical supplies in support of the medical sector and about four thousand of its workers, in addition to a plane in February.” The past carried 7.8 tons as part of the ongoing support to strengthen the Rwandan government’s efforts to support the health sector in the face of the pandemic.
