After suffering with illness

He passed away to the mercy of God Almighty, Lieutenant-General Obaid bin Ghaith Al-Enezi, former deputy chief of the Royal Guard, and the personal bodyguard of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, after suffering with illness.

Lieutenant-General Obaid bin Ghaith is one of the most important men of the country, as he served in the National Guard next to King Abdullah, may God have mercy on him, for a period that spanned more than 50 years, during which he was an example of a brave and faithful man to his king and his country. He was a role model and a good example for his colleagues.

And he was commissioned, may God have mercy on him, to establish the Special Division in the year 1399 AH, which later changed its name to the “Special Brigade”, and was developed into the “Special Brigade”, and one of his tasks is to provide security and protection for King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz when he was the Crown Prince and head of the National Guard in all locations. His presence at home and abroad, as well as securing the palaces of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, may God have mercy on him, until the “Special Brigade” was transferred to the Royal Guard, after King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz became king of the country in the year 26 Jumada al-Akhirah 1426 AH, and Lieutenant-General Obaid bin Ghaith was transferred. To retire in the year 1434 AH.
