The work teams of the Abu Dhabi Center for Waste Management (Tadweer) have prepared to receive the blessed Eid Al-Adha, with a comprehensive and integrated work plan, in order to provide the highest levels of safety and public health for the community and to ensure business continuity during the Eid period.
The center’s work plan, during the Eid, which includes cadres from the departments of waste collection and transportation on the one hand, and the Department of Public Health Pest Control on the other, focuses on including all parts of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with campaigns and services in times of increasing population density and following up on the progress of sacrificial operations and beyond. during the holidays.
The waste collection and transportation department at the center contributes to maintaining the general and aesthetic appearance of the community by keeping garbage containers inside the residential complexes at all times and removing them from their places when collecting garbage, and maintaining the cleanliness of containers for safety and to avoid the spread of diseases, in addition to raising the level of environmental awareness among all Community layers.
The plan for the management of collection and transportation during the Eid includes strengthening the work of providing manual and drip sweeping services and mechanical sweeping services, in addition to washing and general cleaning services, as well as collecting and transporting waste from public slaughterhouses, as well as sweeping and cleaning the Eid chapels where prayer is permitted, and promoting public hygiene work in public parks and open beaches. .
The Department of Collection and Transport allocated 251 additional containers, and the number of equipment and mechanisms prepared for additional operation during the Eid period reached 65 vehicles. In the same context, the Public Health Pest Control Department at the center is participating in the efforts to receive the blessed Eid Al-Adha, as it has allocated a work team of 1240 employees, a number of cars and mechanisms were harnessed to perform their tasks, amounting to 322 cars and 1,251 vehicles.
The plan of the Public Health Pest Control Department during Eid al-Adha includes the presence of emergency field teams whose tasks are limited to receiving and implementing service requests received from the public, as well as providing control services in key areas, the most important of which are government slaughterhouses, public parks and public markets, in order to ensure maintaining the highest levels of health, environment and safety for the public. .
The department’s work teams had anticipated the period before Eid al-Adha with a plan of action that included organizing intensive campaigns for a number of key and important sites, in addition to the sites that are serviced on a periodic and daily basis. Those sites included mosques, Eid chapels, government slaughterhouses, public gardens and parks, palaces and villas, public markets (vegetables, fruits, fish, meat) and all residential areas in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
