          <p>Yesterday, Saturday, the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the ban on direct or indirect travel of citizens, without prior permission from the concerned authorities, to the UAE, Ethiopia and Vietnam, while continuing to prevent direct or indirect travel of citizens to the previously announced countries.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior said that these decisions come in light of the continuing outbreak of the Corona pandemic (Covid-19), and the spread of a new mutated strain of the virus, according to the official news agency (SPA). It also decided to suspend entry from each of the three countries, in addition to Afghanistan, except for those who stayed 14 days outside those four countries, who are not citizens, as well as all the previously announced countries.

It also announced the suspension of flights between countries that are prohibited from traveling to and from, and the application of “institutional quarantine” to all those coming from it, citizens and others.

It excluded citizens who are currently in any of those countries, and who return before eleven o’clock (local time) this evening (Sunday), without prejudice to what is done regarding the evacuation of violators of residency regulations from the Kingdom and related flights.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior asked citizens wishing to travel to the countries to which travel is permitted; Be careful, stay away from areas where the virus is spreading, and follow all precautionary measures, regardless of their destination.

Vaccination centers for the age group from 12 to 18 years continue to receive the registered, who are among the most students, to limit the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19).

In addition, the ministries of health and education in Saudi Arabia agreed to start implementing an additional joint program to receive 5 million male and female students – who are 12 years old and over – the corona vaccine during the current month.

The program will include the remaining teachers, the administrative staff, university students, faculty members, trainees and trainees, and the training and administrative body in training institutions in the public and private sectors, who have not yet taken the vaccine, in preparation for the return of all public and university education students and technical training with Continuing blended learning electronically.

On the other hand, the European Union governments agreed to add 11 countries; Including Saudi Arabia, for its list of countries that will allow travel from it for non-essential reasons, with the decision taking effect in the coming days, during the meeting of the ambassadors of the 27 countries, which was held last Wednesday.

The European Union’s decision to include Saudi Arabia in the list of countries from which travel is permitted without hindrance confirms the importance of the efforts made by the Kingdom’s leadership in confronting the Corona pandemic, and the precautions it has taken in dealing with its developments.

The Kingdom, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has been keen, from the beginning, to protect the health and safety of its residents, as it raised the slogan “human first.” and residents as well as violators of residency regulations.

With vigorous follow-up and directives from the Saudi Crown Prince, the Kingdom took the threat of “Corona” very seriously, and issued, at an early stage, several decisions and procedures in order to contain the virus through an epidemiological investigation, in which the best digital solutions were used, which contributed to preserving the public health of its citizens and residents. on its territory.

The Kingdom contributed to strengthening and unifying international efforts towards addressing the Corona virus, and provided several humanitarian aid, which included a contribution of $500 million to support international relief efforts to combat Corona. Saudi Arabia also exercised its international leadership role during its presidency of the Group of Twenty to help collect $8 billion to combat “Corona” “Selected by the World Health Organization and the World Bank, and donated about 30,000 KN95 masks to ambulance teams in Houston, America, and medical tools to China, and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center announced the provision of more than two million dollars to support the Palestinians in efforts to combat the epidemic.” Corona.”
