A swap deal.. Sevilla sign Eric Lamela in exchange for Brian Gill’s departure to Tottenham

League Plus – Seville announced the signing of former Tottenham Hotspur player Eric Lamela for 3 seasons.
This came during an official statement issued by the Spanish club via a website, where it stated that it had concluded a reciprocal deal with Tottenham that required the inclusion of Lamela in exchange for the departure of Brian Gill to the London club.
Sevilla’s statement read as follows: “Argentine international striker Eric Lamela joined the ranks of Sevilla for 3 seasons, in a reciprocal deal with Tottenham Hotspur.”
The 29-year-old striker will wear the number 17 shirt.

On the other hand, Tottenham announced the signing of Spaniard Brian Gill as part of the exchange deal.
A club statement read: “We are pleased to announce the signing of Brian Gill for the next 5 seasons in Sevilla, with Eric Lamela joining the Spanish club as part of the deal.”
Brian played 24 games with Seville, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists. He also became the first top scorer in La Liga born in the twenty-first century.
