Lots of petrol was emptied but demand is more than anyone can imagine

The representative of fuel distributors in Lebanon, Fadi Abu Chakra, considered that “the companies importing fuel in Lebanon have dumped very large quantities of gasoline, but what we are witnessing is that the markets are thirsty and the demand is more than anyone imagines.”

He pointed out in a television statement, that “the reason for the queues in front of gas stations is that stations with a high percentage do not receive gasoline for fear of problems that may occur, and they must be received in the coming days, and we expect Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to open those stations, and we hope that the stations will open.” On all Lebanese lands, and if we rest, we will rest with the citizen.”

Abu Shakra warned against storing fuel in homes, noting that “storage in homes is a time bomb.”
