Al-Masoudi: Assaulting the health practitioner verbally or physically is a crime punishable by law

The official spokesman for the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Community, Hatem Abdullah Al-Masoudi, said: A reference to the attack on health practitioners at Al-Noor Specialized Hospital; Which “previously” published its details yesterday, entitled “A hospital in Makkah records an incident of assault on 3 doctors… and a consultant tells “previously” the details.” An incident of assault on three doctors took place inside the intensive care unit by three persons who committed verbal and physical assault; What caused minor injuries to the doctors, in addition to damage to the department; This necessitated contacting the security authorities, which in turn, thankfully, opened an investigation into the incident.

He added: “Makkah Al Mukarramah Health Cluster is keen on the safety of patients, its employees and all its health cadres, and does not accept in any way to harm them or attack them verbally and physically, and the health cluster will spare no effort in order to protect patients and its employees and cadres and take regular measures, in order to ensure the preservation of their rights. They are rehabilitated in case they are harmed, as the case is followed up by the legal department of the health assembly.”

He concluded his statement by saying: “It is worth noting that verbally or physically assaulting a health practitioner is a crime punishable by law.”
