Creative Technology Solutions (CTS) and Microsoft held an honoring ceremony to celebrate the creative and impactful work of GEMS Education students at Microsoft, Education Edition, and to acknowledge four of the outstanding students.
The Microsoft: Education Edition competition project began in partnership with CTS, which worked on its implementation, where students at GEMS Schools, which operates more than 40 schools across the Emirates, were able to use Microsoft to design their sustainable home, and this work came to spread awareness among Students and teachers about the interaction and independence in learning that students can achieve.
The competition was launched a week before Ramadan 2021, and attracted enthusiasm among school principals and teachers as well as students.
More than 750 students participated in the competition, who designed homes that respect resources, optimize energy and water use, and adopt low-impact, high-efficiency materials.
Students submitted their artwork within 5 weeks, with four winners selected by a specialized jury.
First place went to Gifting Outings (The Westminster School – Dubai), second place went to Kira Das (GEMS Winchester School – Dubai), and third place went to Swasanth Sylvan and Kelas Subish (GEMS Our Own English High School (boys) – Sharjah ).
