Yesterday, Saudi Airlines started its operational operations to transport pilgrims in the return phase after completing their rituals, as the first flights designated for Hajj were from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah with the number (SV5992) heading to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh at 00:45 am with ( 260) pilgrims, and the rest of the Hajj trips, which amounted to (7) trips, arrived in Riyadh, Dammam and Hofuf from Jeddah on Friday.
In addition, pilgrims were accommodated on the schedule of domestic flights by adding more than (11.7) thousand seats from 12 to 16 Dhu Al-Hijjah by increasing flights, in addition to using aircraft with a larger seat capacity, bringing the total seat capacity to approximately (15,000) seats. Distributed between (8) Hajj flights, (25) additional flights, and (49) flights using aircraft with a larger seat capacity, while “Saudi Arabia” continues in the coming days as well as running its successive internal and international flights in a smooth manner. An executive team in the field is following up the progress of operational operations at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and directly supervising the operation of flights according to the approved plan. Saudi Arabia has been keen to prepare all operational requirements and provide all human and technical capabilities and ground equipment to handle flights at domestic stations through a specialized team from All operational departments of the institution to provide a variety of services in all service sites and on board flights.
Saudi Arabia plays its role as the various state institutions concerned with providing the best services to pilgrims in response to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, and the follow-up of His Highness the Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, and His Highness the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee. Authorities related to airports and all government sectors concerned with serving pilgrims to ensure smooth operational movement.
