France gives Tunisia 500,000 doses of the Corona vaccine


direct: France has decided to give Tunisia a new batch of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccines, estimated at 500,000 doses.

This came during the reception of the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs in charge of tourism, the French abroad and the Francophonie, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Tunisian Republic, when Tunisian President Kais Saied received him at Carthage Palace, today, Thursday.

After delivering a written letter from French President Emmanuel Macron addressed to the Tunisian president, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne said that the new batch of vaccines brings the volume of doses granted from France to Tunisia more than one million doses, in addition to medical equipment and oxygen arriving today, Thursday.

During the meeting, the Tunisian president noted the distinguished friendship between the two countries, which was recently embodied by France sending various medical equipment and supplies, vaccine doses and quantities of oxygen to support Tunisia’s efforts to confront the outbreak of the Corona virus “Covid-19”.

After the meeting, Le Moine said that the conversation also dealt with the ongoing preparations for Tunisia to host the 18th Francophonie Summit, as well as reviewing the reality of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of higher education and facilitating the movement of Tunisian students to continue their studies in France.
