And the ministry stated, in a new statistic, that the number of recorded infections with the Corona virus in the country during the past 24 hours increased by 23,511, compared to 29,173 on Sunday and 24,950 on Monday, bringing the total number to the level of 5.745 million infections.
The ministry stated that it had detected 131 new deaths from the disease during the day, compared to 28 Sunday and 14 Monday, bringing the number of victims of the pandemic in the country to 129,303 people.
Today’s toll is the highest level of deaths due to “Covid-19” in Britain since March 17, when this number reached 141 cases.
Britain ranks 6th in the world in terms of the number of new infections with the Corona virus, and 7th in terms of the death toll from the pandemic.
Over the past weeks, the country has witnessed a new rise in the daily infection index, against the background of the spread of the “delta” strain of the Corona virus discovered in India.
