Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian Prime Minister and head of the Forza Italia party, announced his support for the mandatory presentation of the health certificate (Green Pass) for Corona to enter some public places in the country.
In an article published by the Corriere della Sera newspaper, Berlusconi said that “it is clear that no one can impose the mandatory (anti-Coronavirus) vaccine, despite all the evidence that advises it.”
“But those who refuse to vaccinate cannot impose the consequences of their choice on others and must accept the restrictions resulting from it, to protect the health of other people.”
Berlusconi expressed his “concern that the country will be divided in an absurd debate over vaccination,” saying that “it is absolutely illogical to give an ideological or political character to a purely scientific issue… I am not only talking about green health certificates, they are a tool for a sound idea that we fully support.”
And he added: “I am talking about the fact that if, fortunately, the vast majority of Italians are aware of the need and the importance of the vaccine, not only as a means of individual protection but as a tool to protect society and the right of others not to become infected, there is a minority that is not marginal and very vocal who opposes all this “.
