The Board of Trustees of the Gulf Medical University approved the university’s strategic plan to double the number of UAE citizens studying at the university, and to provide scholarships for the doctoral program in precision medicine and studies programs in the various medical and health colleges.

This comes within the framework of supporting the strategic directions of the state, and meeting the current and future needs of the UAE healthcare professions. The Gulf Medical University also offers grants and discounts in all its six colleges and 28 accredited programs. Including a full scholarship in the doctoral program in precision medicine in cooperation with the University of Paris-Saclay.

Gulf Medical University offers training programs for school students to enable and guide them to choose health professions, such as: medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, biomedical sciences, health care management, anesthesia technology, medical laboratory sciences and physiotherapy, in addition to imaging sciences, health care management and economics.

Programs

The university offers graduate programs in public health, physical therapy, dentistry, periodontology, clinical pharmacy, health care management and economics, education of health professions and medical laboratory sciences, which are important specializations that need to increase the number of citizens working in these fields.

One of the distinguished programs at Gulf Medical University is the “Sons of the Emirates, Future Scientists” program, which enables the affiliates to obtain a research-based profession. The program was developed to give Emirati secondary school students access to tools that are usually only available to university students or outsiders.

The “Sons of the Emirates, Future Scientists” program invests in the talents and abilities of young people, develops their passion and creativity, and transfers them to a fertile environment that provides them with scientific research skills, through many experiments in research laboratories over a period of two years.
