Revenues of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company “du” increased by 7% on a basis in the second quarter of this year to reach 2.855 billion dirhams. The company achieved a EBITDA growth of 7.3% year-on-year to reach AED 1,130 billion. The company’s net profit rose by 11.4% on an annual basis to reach 240 million dirhams, while the capital expenditures injected by the company during the second quarter amounted to 649 million dirhams. Based on these results, the Board of Directors of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company decided to distribute interim dividends to shareholders of 0.10 AED per share.
The mobile subscriber base witnessed a growth of 2.3% to reach 6.6 million subscribers.
Mohammed Al Husseini, Chairman of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, said: “Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company recorded a strong performance during the second quarter. The company’s executive management, led by Fahad Al-Hasawi and his team, has made great efforts to put the company back on a growth path.
