Spain, with a young squad, won an impressive 4-0 victory over Lithuania on Tuesday, after the hosts relied on the under-21 team due to the first team entering the quarantine before the European Football Championship.
This is Spain’s youngest squad ever in its history, with an average age of 22 years and 102 days, and will enhance the options for coach Luis Enrique if he wants to make changes due to Covid-19 cases or injuries.Six players from the first team, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Raul Albiol, Brice Mendes, Pablo Fornals, Rodrigo Moreno and Carlos Soler, joined training in a parallel camp in preparation for any emergency changes.

The Spanish Football Federation said that a number of 21-year-old players will remain in Madrid to train separately from the starting lineup after today’s victory.
