The new system included important and noticeable changes to the “FaceTime” application, the video calling application from “Apple”, which received great attention last year in light of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic and the need for remote communication.
In the new operating system, Apple added support for Spatial Audio to facilitate identification of who is speaking in a conference call, by making the sound appear to come from the image of the person who is currently speaking.
Sound isolation improvements help reduce background noise, while a broadband audio mode is also available, and Grid View helps reorganize the call, making it easier to see everyone on the call at once.
The big advantage of FaceTime is cross-platform calls, where a FaceTime link can be created and shared with others, and this link can be used across Android devices and Windows desktops, expanding the service for the first time in its history.
SharePlay allows users to share media within a FaceTime call, including shows, movies and music from various providers, Apple Music support is also included with integration with multi-user playback sync, and a screen sharing option is also available.
