Today, Tuesday, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Iran is responsible for its nuclear activitiesHe stressed that the role of the IAEA in Iran’s nuclear file is crucial.

Regarding the Yemeni file, Faisal bin Farhan explained during a joint press conference with his Austrian counterpart, that the Houthis deliberately escalated and attacked Marib, pointing out that they rejected the ceasefire initiative in Yemen.

He added that the Kingdom presented a strategic initiative for a ceasefire in Yemen, and that it is keen to stop the war in Yemen.

The Saudi Foreign Minister stated that he spoke in Austria about Iranian interference in the region, and that the Kingdom has a common vision with Austria regarding the stability of the region.

Commenting on the new Israeli government, the Saudi foreign minister said: “We do not have relations with Israel and a change of government in it does not affect us.”

In his speech, the Saudi official stated that the Kingdom believes in interfaith dialogue, and is committed with the international community to address the challenge of climate change.

For his part, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg said that the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia are unacceptable, and the Houthis should return to the dialogue table, noting that Saudi Arabia plays a pivotal and important role in the region.

Schallenberg added that Saudi Arabia is our country’s largest partner in the Middle East, and that the Kingdom’s initiatives on the environment have affected us greatly.

Regarding the nuclear file, the Austrian Foreign Minister said: “We support the return of the nuclear agreement with Iran, its consolidation and its implementation.”

During an official visit to the Austrian capital Vienna, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met, on Monday, with the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi.

During the meeting, they discussed the most prominent developments towards the Iranian nuclear program, the importance of imposing the necessary mechanisms for rapid and comprehensive inspection of all Iranian nuclear sites, as well as stopping Iranian violations and policies of international laws and norms that destabilize the security and stability of the region and the world.

The two sides also discussed the importance of adhering to the implementation of international atomic energy standards in order to stimulate growth and progress to achieve sustainable development globally, in addition to discussing the most prominent developments on the regional and international arena.
