Syrian striker Mardik Mardekian scored two early goals for his country, in the 6 and 9 minutes of the first half, and then his fellow striker Mahmoud Al-Mawas scored the third goal, by the 84th minute of the meeting, which was held on the grounds of the Sharjah Club Stadium in the Emirates.
After this victory, the Syrian national team strengthened its place on the top spot in the first group of qualifiers with a full score of 21 points, after achieving 7 consecutive victories, thus ensuring its qualification to the third round of qualifiers.
Guam, meanwhile, suffered the seventh defeat in a row, and thus is in the last fifth place without points.
The Chinese team occupies the runner-up position with 10 points gained from 5 matches, three points ahead of its third-placed Filipino counterpart, who also played only 5 matches, and then the Maldives in fourth place with 6 points.
