Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN)– Social media users in Egypt and Saudi Arabia circulated two videos of sexual assault on two children, one in a car and the other on a train, amid a wave of anger and demands for the perpetrators to be held accountable.

The hashtag “ Save the raped child” spread on Twitter in Saudi Arabia with a video clip of a sexual assault on a child in a car, while the Family Violence Reporting Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development commented that “coordination is underway with the competent authorities to take the necessary measures.”

In Egypt, a video clip of the sexual assault of a child was circulated on the Cairo-Aswan train, according to Egyptian news sites. And the Masrawy website quoted the director of the child helpline at the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Sabri Othman, as saying that the council submitted a report to the Public Prosecution regarding the incident.

Othman added that the incident was monitored through a video circulating on social media, which is one of the mechanisms for working on the child’s helpline, and the Public Prosecution was informed, and continued by saying that the Assiut Appeal Prosecution is currently conducting its investigations.
