to host Apple Its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 7 is in an all-virtual format once again, and we’re expecting updates on iOS, macOS, WatchOS, and tvOS, along with privacy-focused features across the Apple ecosystem. Additionally, there may be some hardware announcements, TheNextWeb reports.

iOS 15 و iPadOS 15

Apple introduced bulk notifications in iOS 12, and now it may bring an update to that system. According to a report by Bloomberg reported by theNextWeb, you will be able to set custom notification context modes. These include modes such as working, sleeping or driving, depending on which different applications will show you notifications.

The report indicated that changes will be made to the lock screen and control center icons. A previous leak on Reddit suggested that Apple had changed the design of the icon to make it not flat.

According to a writer named Connor Jewiss, who said he’s seen some versions of iOS 15, Apple’s health app will get new features like food tracking.

Jewiss also indicated that Apple may be making some tweaks to the dark mode user interface.

The report also highlighted that Apple wants to make iMessage a strong competitor to WhatsApp To do this, the company will offer custom settings for the auto-responder. A report from MacRumors indicated that Apple is already working on the ability to check back or delete sent messages.

The only notable thing we know about its arrival in iPadOS is the ability to rearrange the widgets on your screen — a feature Apple introduced to the iPhone last year.

Upgrade to M1 . chip

Apple unveiled its much-anticipated ARM-based M1 chip last November, and it blew the competition out of the water. However, Apple has only scratched the surface by including the processor in new models of the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, iPad Pro, and iMac.

The M1 chip has a limit of 16GB of RAM and does not support external graphics cards. So we haven’t seen a really massive pro machine based on this chip.

A Bloomberg report published last month indicated that the new chip – expected to be called the M1X or M2 – will have two variants. While the combination of eight high-performance cores and two energy-efficient cores will remain the same in both versions, the GPU will have either 16 or 32 cores.

Hardware ads

While WWDC is mostly a software relationship, we may see some hardware announcements based on the new chip. Earlier this week, MacRumors reported a regulatory filing of a new 16-inch MacBook Pro model.

Multiple reports earlier this year suggested that Apple might ditch the Touch Bar in favor of physical Fn keys. Plus we’ll see more USB ports, and the return of an HDMI port with an SD card reader.

Apple is expected to bring some improvements to macOS, tvOS, and WatchOS, and a recent job announcement by the company hinted that it might bring the smart home and TV together under a new homeOS moniker.

The WWDC teaser was a reflection of the apps on character’s glasses that got everyone interested in the rumored AR Apple glasses. We might hear something about seeing the company’s augmented reality, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for that.
