I wrote – Manal El-Gioshy:

Shaima Farghali, the widow of the great artist Saeed Saleh, said in an interview with the media, Yasmine Al-Khatib, on the program “We say too” on Al-Nahar TV, that her marriage to the great artist was not a marriage of interest.

Farali confirmed that there were those who believed that she married him in order to help her in artistic works, but from the beginning she had been working in the children’s theater since she was thirteen years old, and after their marriage she worked in a Yemeni series with a small role, noting that the late artist did not help her at all.

And she continued: “Said asked me to wear the hijab and stay away from the middle, and he said, I am afraid for you, and I actually wore the hijab for 5 years because I loved him very much, but when I got tired, I felt that the world would suffocate us very much, so I took off the hijab and decided to go back to work.”

She explained that she did not mean by this that she was spending her money on him, but she thought that life is a partnership and in the event that one party “signs”, the other party must support him, and this is what she did.

And she added: “I helped him because his goodness drowned me, he did not have a balance in the bank, all who owned an apartment in Alexandria, and I was spending from his goodness because he was an expense worker and most of my money in the bank was from his grace.”

She concluded her speech about him, saying: “Said Saleh is the best person I have met in my life, and the owner of merit in my life, and he memorized the Qur’an, taught me after completing the prayer to swim and taught me many things in religion and life.”
