Rima Rahbani, the daughter of the great Lebanese singer Fairuz, published a rare photo of her with her mother through her account on “Facebook”, which was a pleasant surprise for fans of the icon, who prefers to stay out of the limelight.
Rima attached the photo with a brief comment, in which she said: “Sylvie and the past is behind me.”
The photo achieved a great reaction from the fans after it was published only minutes.
The last appearance of the Lebanese artist, Fayrouz, was in September 2020, when she met French President Emmanuel Macron in Beirut.
Fayrouz met Macron, wearing a protective mask and adhering to the rules of social separation, and the French President stood about two meters away from her.
The French president awarded the great Lebanese artist the French Legion of Honor, the highest official honor in France, while Fairouz gifted the French president a painting, said to be a cedar wood sculpture engraved with the name of the French president.
