Mohamed Saafan, Minister of Manpower, said that he expects to open flights with Saudi Arabia within a few weeks for the return of Egyptian workers.
Saafan added, during a telephone interview with the “Tahrir Hall” program on Sada Al-Balad channel, that the presence of the ministry and training centers in the villages led to the presence of young people, stressing that if the ministry was able to implement 100,000 projects, one million job opportunities would be created.

The minister explained that the ministry has waiting lists for the vocational training project, and that the ministry has implemented the “Decent Life” initiative in all sectors since President Sisi announced it.
He stressed that unemployment rates in Egypt decreased during the year 2020 to 7.7%, and that the state’s major projects resolved the unemployment crisis for returnees from Iraq and Libya.
The Minister of Manpower indicated that the ministry’s website receives job seekers in different governorates, stressing that a database of regular employment at the level of the Republic has been prepared to take care of them, and about 180,000 irregular workers have been identified to provide health and social care for them.
And the Minister of Manpower continued: “We were able to provide nearly 250,000 life and casualty insurance policies, with a value of 100,000 pounds, and that ministries are joining hands to support and care for irregular employment.”
He said that 85,000 job opportunities have been created for irregular workers, and the Administrative Capital employs about 500,000 workers, and New Alamein has 75,000 workers.
