The Lions of Mesopotamia easily defeated Cambodia 4-1.
The Iraqi team opened the scoring early in the first minute with a goal by Muhannad Ali Kazem, then Bashar Rasan added the second goal in the 23rd minute and Ali Adnan Kazem the third goal in the 27th minute, so the Iraqis decided their victory in the first half with a 3-0 lead.
In the second half, the Cambodia team reduced the difference with a goal by Soway Visal in the 55th minute, but Safa Hadi returned the difference to 3 goals by scoring the fourth goal for Iraq in the 90th minute.
Iraq’s tally has now reached 14 points, to regain the lead over Bahrain, which became third with 12 points, after receiving a heavy loss against Iran 0-3, whose tally of 12 points also became second.
The next match for Iraq will be against Iran next Tuesday, knowing that the two teams played a game less than Bahrain.
