The goals of the Italian and German league professionals dominate the Euro 2020 group stage

The goals of the Italian League and the German League (Bundesliga) professionals imposed themselves strongly on the first round (group stage) of the current European Nations Cup (Euro 2020).

Of the 94 goals scored during 36 matches held in the first round of the championship, 22 goals came from players who are active in the Bundesliga.

On the other hand, Italian Serie A professionals were the most present in the Euro 2020 scorers list during the first round of the tournament, scoring 25 goals, according to Opta’s statistics.

The English Premier League (17 goals), the Spanish (four goals) and the French (three goals) came in the following positions.

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo leads the list of top scorers so far with five goals, two ahead of Poland’s Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich, Germany), Czech Patrick Cech (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany), Swede Emil Forsberg (Leipzig, Germany) and Dutch Georginio Wijnaldum (who moved from Liverpool to Paris Saint-Germain (French) and Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku (Inter Milan), noting that Lewandowski bid farewell to the Polish national team in the first round.
