The Egyptian artist, Yasser Jalal, denied that he evaded the payment of one million and 720 thousand pounds to the Egyptian Tax Authority, after the latter threatened to seize his money.

Jalal explained that the reason for his presence in the center of senior financiers of liberal professions in the Tax Authority, last Thursday, is to discuss the result of the value-added tax examination for the period between 2016 and 2020, according to Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper.

He stressed that after the examination, it was found that he had paid the value-added due to him in excess, according to what was stated in the value-added reports he submitted for the same period.

Yasser Jalal’s last artistic work was the series “Dil Ragel”, which was shown in Ramadan this year, co-starring Nermin El-Feki and Mahmoud Abdel-Mughni, written by Ahmed Abdel-Fattah and directed by Ahmed Saleh.
