          <p>The Saudi Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with Formula 1, launched the “Race with Art” competition, to invite Saudi plastic artists, “amateurs or professionals”, to participate in their works of distinguished artistic drawings, during the “Saudi Formula 1 Grand Prix”, one of the racing rounds. Formula 1 for 2021, which the Kingdom will host for the first time from December 3 to 5, on the Jeddah Corniche.

The participation of plastic artists in this competition began yesterday, and on Monday, July 26, the date for sorting the submissions of applicants (judging and selection), while the announcement of the winners will be on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 AD, where installation will be carried out Selected works on the racetrack during the months of November and December.

The first place holder will receive a prize of 50,000 riyals, while the second place holder will receive an amount of 25,000 riyals, and the third will receive a prize of 10,000 riyals.

This competition, which falls under the “Quality of Life” program aimed at improving the quality of life of the Kingdom’s residents and visitors, aims to encourage and highlight Saudi artists by presenting distinctive works and creative artworks on the world’s most famous racetracks, to emulate the Kingdom’s culture and broad history, as well as to promote The position of Saudi artists participating in international forums, and highlighting the historical culture and national identity of the Kingdom to the outside world, in addition to enriching the artistic environment within the Kingdom.

This cooperation comes from the fruitful partnership between the Ministries of Sports and Culture, which began by Arabizing the names on the shirts of the players of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup League, which was launched by the Ministry of Culture in the context of its celebration of the Year of Arabic Calligraphy 2020, followed by this cooperation through which the two ministries are keen To encourage talents in various fields, and to benefit from their capabilities by hosting major sports events, for which the Kingdom has become a global center.
