Report confirms hackers hack and steal data from EA


A group of hackers managed to hack Electronic Arts’ data and then steal codes for games and internal tools.

Electronic Arts is known as one of the most popular game developers, providing users with Battlefield, FIFA, and The Sims.

A bunch of information was revealed on some forums, where hackers gained access to the FIFA 21 source code.

Also, a group of hackers confirmed that they succeeded in gaining access to the source code and the Frostbite engine that supports most EA games including Battlefield.

The captured data also includes EA’s API and SDKs, along with a set of code that supports more seamless game development.

It is noteworthy that the hackers have confirmed in recently published statements that the capacity of the data that was hacked and seized amounts to 780 gigabytes.
