Queen Elizabeth congratulates Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the birth of their daughter

Despite the differences that erupted between Prince Harry and his wife Megan on the one hand, and the British royal palace on the other hand, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II congratulated her grandson Harry and his wife Megan Markle on the birth of their daughter Diana – Lillibit.

And the congratulations appeared on Sunday night on “Instagram” Buckingham Palace, and said: “Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lillibet Diana! The Queen and Prince of Wales Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate, are very pleased with this news.”

“Lily is named after her paternal great-grandmother, the queen, whose family name is Lilibit, and whose middle name is Diana, chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, the Princess of Wales,” the couple said in a statement.

It is noteworthy that Elizabeth II became a great-grandmother for the eleventh time.

Prince Harry and his wife, Megan Markle, announced that their daughter was born Friday in Los Angeles, and the baby was named Diana – Lilibit, after the late Princess Diana, the mother of Prince Harry and his brother Prince William, and Lilibit is the nickname of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

No pictures of the newborn were published or an accompanying photo of the Duchess and Duchess of Sussex’s announcement was made. Harry and Meghan live with their two-year-old son Archie in Montecito, north of Los Angeles, in Southern California, with the little girl joining them.
