Pfizer begins trials of the Corona vaccine on children under 12 years old

The American company, Pfizer, announced today, Tuesday, that it has started trials of the anti-Corona vaccine, which is manufactured by its subsidiary Biontech, on children under 12 years of age, with reduced doses.

And last month, the US Food and Drug Administration allowed the Pfizer vaccine to be given to children between the ages of 12 and 15

Last month, the European Medicines Regulatory Authority approved the vaccine for the same age group, as it was approved by some Arab countries, such as the UAE, and have already started providing it to adolescents.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency use authorization for Pfizer’s vaccine to the younger age group, after a clinical trial in 2,260 children aged 12 to 15 years showed the vaccine was 100% effective and well-tolerated.
