Ooredoo launches commercial 5G services in Indonesia

Ooredoo announced yesterday that its Indonesia-based company, Indosat Ooredoo, has launched the first commercial 5G service in Solo, Central Java Province. It enables them to take advantage of new opportunities, and helps meet the growing demand in Indonesia for digital content and services over mobile networks.

Indosat Ooredoo announced the commercial launch of 5G services at a special event in Solo attended by VIPs, including Her Excellency Mrs. Fawzia bint Idris Al Sulaiti, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Ahmed Al Neama, CEO of Indosat Ooredoo, and Mr. Johnny J. . Plat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, and Mr. Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Mayor of Surakarta.
The commercial launch of 5G services in Indonesia reinforces Ooredoo Group’s endeavor to enrich the digital life of individuals by providing high-speed connectivity and premium digital services. To achieve this goal, Ooredoo Group is deploying 5G mobile broadband networks in the countries in which it operates, knowing that 5G services are already available to customers in Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and the Maldives.
